ABAT Certification Program

The ABAT credential certifies that certificants have demonstrated entry-level knowledge, skill, and competency in autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

An ABAT is a paraprofessional in behavior analysis who practices under close and ongoing supervision of a QBA or BCBA. This course provides foundational knowledge and practical understanding for certification preparation.

Additional Requirements

(To be completed independently by the student before appearing for the QABA exam. These are separate certification requirements.)

  • Fieldwork Hours – 15 Hours
  • Supervision Hours – 10% of Independent Fieldwork Hours (1.5 Hours)

Fieldwork and supervision opportunities may be available on a case-by-case basis depending on availability.

QABA Certification Process

The process required for QABA certification:

  • Ensure your educational qualifications are in line with the course requirements.
  • Complete the approved coursework through Dew Drops.
  • Complete the mandatory fieldwork hours independently. Fieldwork opportunities may be available based on availability.
  • Complete the required supervision under a QBA / BCBA independently.
  • Fulfill all QABA documentation requirements.
  • Enroll and appear for the QABA exam independently.
